The focus of Ironside Athletics is to improve the overall athletic ability of each individual at all ages. Through the application of sound scientific principles based in strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, and biomechanics, our philosophy is to address proper movement mechanics to elicit improvements in sport, followed by strengthening the athlete.

Not only are athletes trained to get stronger, faster, and more powerful, but the sessions are focused on also improving the often over-looked aspects in training. Ensuring that athletes have proper balance, stability, and quality movement patterns are paramount in the training philosophy so that each athlete can strive to reach their individual potential.

Our 90 minute training sessions maximize the athlete's performance by conducting a thorough total body warm up, explosive movement and strength training in every workout 4 days per week.

Each session consists of a number of components:

  • Mobility circuit designed to improve common restrictions in athletes.

  • Dynamic warm-up to get prepared for the workout.

  • Speed/Agility/Quickness (SAQ) component working on linear and lateral speed, change of direction, power, stability, and balance.

  • Strength component to build a solid foundation through proper technique and movement quality for athletes to continue to build upon as they progress through their athletic career.

Training as a team helps the athletes bond and learn each others strengths and weaknesses.  Our 6,500 square foot facility can accommodate your whole team or groups of athletes who will train together based on position.

Fever Basketball Training

Ironside Athletics and the Rocky Mountain Fever Basketball team have been affiliated since the Spring of 2018, providing sport- and age-specific training to the Fever players.

While the goal of training is aligned with the overall philosophy of Ironside Athletics, Fever players are able to train with more of a basketball focus during their sessions.

The primary goals of the Fever training program has not only been to improve the agility and power of the players, but also provide them with improvements in lateral motion, change of direction, strength, stability and balance, and injury prevention.

By working and training with teammates, the Rocky Mountain Fever are able to train in an atmosphere that promotes camaraderie and provides accountability for their teammates.

By partnering with Ironside Athletics, Rocky Mountain Fever athletes have shown marked improvements in their performance both on the court and in the weight room, allowing them to gain the competitive advantage over their opponents.
